It’s Not Failure - It’s Research & Development
“Even top ranked tennis players win barely more than half the points they play.”- Shinah
In today’s episode, I’m going to totally transform the way you think about business “mistakes” and “failures.” ‘Cause way too many of us go into business thinking you’ve gotta be close to perfect.
Even Roger Freakin’ Federer, a world-renowned tennis player, barely won HALF his points while playing matches. BUT the key to his success was the fact that he did not focus on the points he lost. Instead, he let go of those past mistakes, took a breath, and chose to tackle the present moment - one point at a time.
On this episode of The Shinah Show, join me to learn:
Why we need to redefine our outdated, elementary way of "grading" our business successes, and how it sets the total WRONG standard
How to reframe your mindset & realize there is no one measure of “success”
How messing up makes me HUMAN, and why me doing so shows my students that its OK to screw up (and not take things so seriously!)
The embarrassing, unfortunate, and silly mistakes I have made throughout the past 10 years of this whole small-business-entrepreneurship journey I’m on
Business is just like life – you’re never going to get it perfect (and you shouldn’t have to!). Its messy, full of highs and lows, and sometimes uncomfortable – but hey, we’re all finding our way through it and getting better at it one day at a time.
