EPISODE 49 - What to do when Sales Don't Come In

As a creative entrepreneur, what do you do when you launch a product or offering... and the SALES DON'T COME IN??

After 7 years of entrepreneurship, as a professional calligrapher then as a calligraphy teacher, I've run into this situation once or twice... and it just happened AGAIN, with a new training I recently launched. 

I created this new training, feeling certain that people would want to buy it. But when I announced it… CRICKETS. Zero sales for four days 😳


In this episode, I share three important lessons that helped me keep going with my launch, and eventually make 12 sales of the training (instead of just giving up, which I was close to doing). 

The three, juicy lessons I go over:

  1. FIRST LESSON: A new product needs an education runway.  Potential customers need to hear about something MANY times in order to get familiar with it, understand why they need it, and be ready to purchase. 

  2. SECOND LESSON: Tactical strategies to increase desire for your products - including a review of the FIVE LEVELS OF AWARENESS in customers, and why you need to know them.

  3. THIRD LESSON: The mindset that you choose to adopt when you don't reach a sales goal is so important to your longevity as an entrepreneur.
